Frequently asked questions.

This is our FAQ section that covers our most common frequently asked questions regarding our industry, packages and services.

Is it worth protecting my brand new vehicle with a ceramic coating package?

Protecting your vehicle when it's new is the best and cheapest alternative as the vehicle is typically in a 'near new' condition. Installing a ceramic coating will preserve and protect the paintwork from UV damage, contamination, light scratches and will make cleaning effortless! Meaning the car will stay looking new for years to come, of course with correct maintenance.

What is the difference between the 3, 5 and 9 year ceramic coatings?

The main difference between these coating options is the composition and strength of the coating & the length of the manufacturers guarantee. Our 5 year coating has a 9H hardness rating where our 9 year coating is 10H and more durable. We recommend the 9 year coating for daily used vehicles as it is more durable and performs better under constant exposure to the elements. We will always discuss your needs and circumstances prior to suggesting a specific coating for your vehicle.

3

How long do you need the vehicle for in order to complete a ceramic coating package?

Timeframes for job completion can vary and depend entirely on whether the vehicle is new or used, as well as the level of work required when it comes to detailing and paint correction. A 5 year coating package on a brand new vehicle will take 1-2 days to complete where it may take 3-4 days on a neglected & used vehicle.

4

How long do you need the vehicle for in order to complete a window tinting package?

Our window tinting packages can be completed within a day and can take anywhere from 3-4 hours to complete. We suggest allowing 1 working day to book in and complete tinting on your vehicle. Removal of old tint can take multiple hours depending on the age of the old tint and how easy it is to remove. All vehicles are of various difficulties when it comes to film installation so this can vary.

5

Should i get PPF (Paint Protection film) or a ceramic coating?

This entirely depends on your requirements. PPF is a great investment for those looking to install a scratch resistant polyurethane film over the body/ paintwork and fully preserve the vehicle. This makes the vehicle super easy to maintain with the films self-healing capabilities as well as creating a protection barrier against scuffs and rock chips. Ceramic coatings will keep your vehicle looking good and create very easy maintenance but will not protect against damage and rock chips.

6

Do you have warranty on your services and products? How does the warranty or guarantee work?

We offer a limited lifetime warranty & more importantly a 100% satisfaction guarantee on our installation services. Our coating packages have manufacturer guarantees that cover failure of products or failure to perform. We discuss maintenance procedures and explain the proper methods involved in order to maximise the life of your coating and services completed on your vehicle. Should there be any issues, we are here to assist!

7

Do you offer further discounts on your services?

We don't typically offer further discounts unless it is part of a promotion or discounted service period. Our pricing reflects the level of work that goes into every job and allows us to ensure that you receive the best quality service and workmanship. If you book multiple vehicles in at once, we will offer a group vehicle discount. We will also offer discounts on our add on services if you are purchasing our high end packages (automatically discounted on our quote).

What is paint correction?

Paint correction involves the machine polishing, cutting and refining the paintwork to remove swirls, scratches, sanding marks and other imperfections. This process varies and can include different methods of machine polishing to cut or refine the paintwork, or even sanding the paintwork to achieve the desired result. Your vehicle is assessed and this process is completed prior to our coating installation to ensure correct preparation and bonding of the coating.

9

Does my vehicle require paint correction prior to coating install?

In the majority of cases, yes. Your vehicle will require some form of paint correction prior to coating installation, whether it's a fine single stage OR a multi stage correction. This will ensure that we create a perfect finish and surface to allow the ceramic coating to bot bond properly and look good. Some new vehicles are delivered in perfect condition and require very minimal work.

10

What is the difference between Carbon & Ceramic window tint?

Ceramic window tints offer selective infra-red heat rejection unlike the carbon tint. This means that Ceramic stops IR heat from entering the vehicle allowing it to stay cooler inside. Both window film options offer 99% UVA protection at the minimum. We have a demo display in store where you can see and feel the differences between our window film options.
